The key is to knowing which drills are good and which are not. The drill must be game like, allow for progression, and teach a particular point. As an example, I never get my players to dribble through cones to teach dribbling, but make them dribble using games that are game like and encourage them to keep their heads up to look for space. I have used a number of free soccer drills, but I make sure that they pass my test first.
1. Can they be made progressive and competitive/fun?
2. Can they involve a large number of players?
3. Are they game like?
