Talking Soccer Drills - Trapping

When we talk about football exercises, there are various ways to enhance the trapping skills of players. The coach must give his players an overview of all aspects associated with the hatch.

Trapping helps players stop the ball and keep it near his body in a safe distance. The player must use different parts of his body to trap the ball, but I can not use his hands of course. Mainly, the foot, thigh, chest and that players use to trap the ball.

Using the foot
The coach must train players to use their feet to catch the ball effectively. If you are coaching youth football players, you must form inside of the foot. From the inside of the foot is the largest area of the foot, it helps to have better control of the ball.

However, if you are older players coaching football, you need to move forward approach. You must train them to use the neck or top of the foot and inside and outside of the foot for trapping. Using the thigh
Using the thigh is another more effective method for trapping the ball. To do this, players must first come in front of the ball that comes to them. When the ball gets a rebound, you must stand on one foot and raise the thigh of the other foot to make contact with the ball.

Once the thigh meets the ball, instantly fall in the knee so that the ball can only stick to your thigh. The coach must train the actors how to continue to table the knee until the ball rolls from the thigh to toe.


Using the chest
As you use the thigh for trapping the ball, you can also use the chest in the same way. However, of course, you'll have to take a slightly different approach to the ball this time. To do this, players must first come in front of the ball that comes to them and should push in the chest to make contact with the ball coming toward them.

However, you should note that we are talking football drills for trapping, using the chest May not be a good idea for young players because doing so is very likely they will touch the ball with the hand.
