History of Football

Football is the biggest sport in the world and millions of people watching the game and enjoy, but are completely unconscious when it comes to knowing the history of the game. No one knows the exact date of the game was played, but there are centuries around 1000 BC, the Japanese are regarded as having played the same type of game. The Greeks and Chinese are also thought to have played a game similar to football.

In 1300, during the reign of King Edward, anyonemade to play football has been put behind bars, as it was considered dangerous and shocked the public. The ban was lifted in 1681 and won football was allowed to play in England in 1800, the game has become so popular that they had soccer competitions once a year. After this major leagues began to form around the football world and become a spectator sport. Soccer made its first appearance in the Olympics at the Olympic Games of 1900, when an English teamteam emerged the winners.

Today, the championships are played by national teams rather than clubs and is a factor that has increased the number of football fans cheered as their country. Today, football is best seen on television and millions of dollars have been spent on the game. The league is the most popular English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A in Italy and Bundas Liga in Germany. Players have become superstars and are amonghighest-paid athlete in the world.

Women's Soccer History

The women's soccer history is definitely something we would like to know. Women started playing soccer as men did in England . English has been considered being the one who invented soccer and their record of matches between men and women as early as the 19th century was very evident. Long before cup contests and leagues were formed, women were thought to have played soccer even during ancient times.

There were even evidences that soccer was played by women in China during the Han Dynasty. So, that literally means it occurred in 25 - 250CE. The women's soccer history indeed was a very interesting part of the China's legendary fame.

It was also believed that French played the sport as early as the 12th century. At first, it was not that acceptable since people of early times were used to be watching men playing soccer. But later on, soccer began to be accepted as socially acceptable sport for women. In 1892, it was reported that the first recorded official game for women was held in Scotland , and in 1895, England followed.

Nettie Honneyball was the woman in England who was recorded to have formed the women's football league in 1894. It was opposed by most people in the country and the British Football Associations did not even bother to support them.

One reason that was believed to have raised the rate of the women playing soccer was the population of women working outside their homes. This was evident especially to those working in heavy industries.

Some people considered women's soccer as a recent phenomenon, since it is only in 90's that this sport gained popularity. The truth is, soccer has been around for quite a while, only that social and political factors hindered it to be acknowledged.

The History and Tradition of the Glasgow Rangers

One of the most popular football teams in Scotland is the Glasgow Rangers. The Rangers are a team steeped in history and tradition. In 1872, the Glasgow Rangers of the two founding brothers Peter and Moses McNeil, and their friends William McBeath and Peter McNeail. She chose the name for their soccer club by combing through a book in English rugby and borrowing from the name of an existing team. The team saw limited action in their inaugural year with only a handful of friendsGames, including a draw against Callander FC and an 11 to nil drubbing of Clyde.

Fast forward to modern times and the Glasgow Rangers popularity has exploded. In 2006, Paul Le Geun took administrative control over the Rangers and went on a spree of signings for the team, together with transactions that cleaned some of the grease on the team. They struggled early on, and after a few defeats to lower clubs, were removed from the League Cup. The Rangers through town rivals, theGlasgow Celtics were dominate during this period, which caused much suffering for the hardcore fans Rangers.

Walter Smith was brought in 2007 to replace Paul Le Guen. Smith brought on former Rangers player All McCoist to his assistant coach.

The Rangers have three primary colors: red, royal blue and white. Their home shirts are royal blue with white and red trim and the players wear white shorts and black socks. It is sometimes reversed parts of their uniform. ForFor example, you can sometimes find the Royal Rangers play in white socks and shorts are blue in color.

The Rangers remain one of the most popular football clubs in Scotland and plays at all levels, even if they split local attention and interest with the Glasgow Celtics. Thanks to the long history the Rangers have there are no signs of slowing down their popularity in the foreseeable future.
