Soccer Field Measurements

Following soccer field measurements apply to adult matches. However all this rules may even apply to all ages. Learning soccer field measurements is not necessary to become a good soccer player, but it can be fun to know for example the maximum allowed width for a soccer field or. Let's start...

The soccer field measurements for international adult games are in the range of 110-120 yard and the width is in the range 70-80 yard. Fields for non-international matches may be 100-130 yard length and width of 50-101, provided that the field does not become square. The demarcation lines are called the sidelines or the key, while shorter terms in which objects are placed are called goal line.

A rectangular goal is positioned at the center of each goal line. The inner edges of vertical aim must be 8 to share the court and the lower edge of the horizontal support of the goal posts is over 8 ft.ground. Networks are usually placed behind the door, but are not necessarily needed.

In front of each goal is the penalty area or 18 yard box as some prefer to call it. This area is characterized by the goal line, two lines starting on the goal line from 18m to goal posts and extending18 perpendicular to the judge in the black goal line and the line connecting them. The construction of 18 are a number of important functions and most important is to score when the goalkeeper be allowed tomanipulate the ball with his hands.

Another important function is to mark where a penalty foul by a member of the defending team is punishable by a penalty kick. Other markings define the position of the ball or players kickoffs, goal kicks, penalty kicks and corner kicks.
